Mon. June 16, 2025 (Day 4)
No-hitter! The story of the day was a no-hitter by Arkansas righty Gage Wood. It was only the third no-hitter in CWS history (Jim Wixson of Oklahoma St. in 1960, and Jim Ehler of Texas in 1950). He retired the first 21 batters, including striking out seven in a row in one stretch. He finished with 19 strikeouts. The only runner to reach was on a HBP in the eighth.
Rain-Delay… The UCLA/LSU game was halted in the third inning due to rain. It will resume on Tue. at 11 a.m. EST… LSU has a 5-3 lead, thanks to a three-run Jared Jones home run.

Sun. June 15, 2025 (Day 3)

Opening Day in Omaha is always a day of celebration in the city… The traditional fly-over highlighted the start of this 75th anniversary of the CWS in Omaha (won by Texas in 1950)… The eight flagpoles for each team’s flag were moved to the Baseball Village after Rosenblatt closed in 2011.
