DBAP-Durham Bulls Athletic Park
Durham is one the few great epicenters of baseball in America. Everyone knows the legacy of the movie Bull Durham, and sure enough, that love of baseball is found all around town. DBAP (Durham Bulls Athletic Park) opened in 1995 and is one of coolest ballparks you’ll find. It currently hosts the Durham Bulls, the Tampa Rays’ Triple-A team. The stadium is surrounded by restaurants and hotels and DPAC, the Durham Performing Arts Center. Across the street, there’s a beautiful Miracle Field for Challenger Baseball.
DAP-Durham Athletic Park
On the other side of downtown is DAP (Durham Athletic Park) where they filmed the movie. It still hosts games for all ages, and the original “Hit Bull, Win Steak” sign is still there.
Duke Baseball
Jack Coombs Field
Across town is Jack Coombs Field, the home of Duke Baseball. It features an old-school grandstand and a stirring entrance where you see the field from ground level above the dugout. The stadium is next door to fabled Cameron Indoor Stadium and Duke’s 95-year-old football field, Wallace-Wade Stadium.
