On one of the nicest days of the spring season, the Bowling Green baseball stadium fills up nicely, as nearby rival Toledo comes to town for a three-game MAC series. The orange and brown school colors jump out on the pure green turf that was newly installed last year, making the sightlines at Stellar Field perfect for watching a game.

Orel Hershisher famously played here and his name is on the outfield wall as a reminder that a redshirt can still make the majors.
It is a quiet crowd, except for some passionate students dressed in orange who won’t let the opposing pitcher forget he hit three batters in the second inning.

There are three home runs from the home team, and the cheers can be heard over at the adjacent softball field and tennis courts.

Despite losing the next two days to their rivals, a victory on this day sends the crowd home happy.
