“The truth is, whatever game you play in life, sometimes you’re going to lose…The best in the world are not the best because they win every point…It’s because they know they’ll lose…again and again…and have learned how to deal with it.”
–– Roger Federer

During his great tennis career, Roger Federer followed a 15-second rule for each point.

The first five seconds were for processing it emotionally. If he lost a point or was frustrated, he gave himself five seconds to embrace it and feel it.

The next five seconds he would spend taking a breath and letting go of the emotion.

The final five seconds were spent preparing for the next point.

Today, how can you use some form of Federer’s 15-second rule in your own life to help you process an emotion and move forward?
